Welcome to Caswell's Coffee Shop!
When musicians want to try out new work, they play in obscure bars or coffee houses and build grassroots followings. Let’s take a page from their playbook and share our work in this virtual coffee shop. Spread the word about this ‘open mic’ to as many writers and readers as you can. Let’s support each other and help raise our profiles together.
Step Up to the Mic... It's Easy!
- Video yourself reading a short (2-3 minute) excerpt of your work and upload to YouTube. Send the link to CaswellsCoffeeShop@gmail.com.
- Alternately, make an audio recording of yourself reading a 2-3 minute excerpt of your writing using either AudioBoo or SoundCloud and send the link to CaswellsCoffee Shop@gmail.com.
- In your email, please include a short author bio (100 words) and a 2-3 sentence synopsis of your book or short story. An author photo would be great, too.
